Michael Kors celebrates Pride with Rainbow Capsule Breakfast & Volunteering
On June 11th, Michael Kors and Camila Coelho hosted an intimate in-store breakfast at the new Michael Kors SoHo boutique on Prince Street, New York to commemorate the launch of his new Rainbow capsule and #MKGO Pride T-shirt.
For this collection, 100% of the profits benefit God’s Love We Deliver (GLWD), a non-profit organization that is a longstanding pillar of the LGBTQ+ community. GLWD provides healthy meals to those living with HIV/AIDS and other illnesses in New York City.
Following breakfast and a toast from Michael Kors himself, guests were invited to volunteer at the God’s Love We Deliver building where they got hands-on experience helping to prepare meals for those too sick to grocery shop and cook for themselves.
June 2019 commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969. With Pride Month in mind, Michael Kors, alongside many other designers, shows his support for the LGBTQ+ community through various gestures of encouragement and love.
The #MKGO Rainbow Pride Cotton T-Shirt celebrates inclusion, diversity, and the vibrancy of the LGBTQ+ community and can be purchased through 31st December 2019 from a Michael Kors retail store or the official Michael Kors website in the U.S.
