Revival of the Dior Saddle feat. Jane Chuck
An icon born through the creative direction of John Galliano in 1999, the Dior Saddle was a classic loved by the world.
Be it Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez or the fictional Sex and the City legend, Carrie Bradshaw, the Dior Saddle was the arm candy coveted by all.
And after almost two decades since its debut, the Dior Saddle sees its own resurrection under the magical hands of Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Working with 100 influential women from across the globe, the Dior Saddle makes a global comeback at exactly 9 PM on 20th July 2018.
Among these 100 ladies, Malaysia's very own Jane Chuck is one of the lucky few!
Along with fellow Malaysians Marion Caunter (@marioncaunter) and Vivy Yusof (@vivyyusof) and international stars like Nicole Warne (@garypeppergirl), Min Hyo-rin (@hyorin_min), Chiara Ferragni (@chiaraferragni), Miranda Kerr (@mirandakerr), Jane Chuck is one of the 100 influential fashion stars engaged to be the first to own the new Dior Saddle.
And when we were in Singapore to get a sneak peek of the new Dior Saddle, we also managed to do an exclusive mini street-style shoot with Jane!
First spotted on the Dior Fall/Winter 2018 runway show earlier this year, the official launch of the new Dior Saddle brings a myriad of new texture to the classic.
Along with the signature monogram, the new Dior Saddle bag is now dressed in the likes of 70s patchwork, sleek leather, fringe beading and even a 90s denim patchwork with "Peace and Love" embroidered on it.
In total, there are now over 15 designs for your shopping pleasure.
Through the creative direction of Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Dior Saddle sees a slight modification of its hardware and the replacement of the velcro clasp (which appeared in the (2000s edition).
And if you look closely, the coveted monogram edition now presents a more refined logo. The Dior Saddle is also now available in larger sizes to be more practical to the modern day women.
Made for the women to carry in any occasion, Maria Grazia Chiuri wants the bag to be "the perfect accessory to deal with this battle that is daily life."
