Salvatore Ferragamo unveils the 42 Degrees collection – a sustainable capsule collection dedicated to those who care about the future of the planet.

As part of Museo Salvatore Ferragamo's Sustainable Thinking project, 42 Degrees is the brainchild of Flavia Corridori and Luciano Dimotta – the designers of Ferragamo who stood out from the Italian house's internal competition to 'create accessories with sustainable materials and consistently with the iconic style of the brand'.

The designer duo drew inspiration from Salvatore Ferragamo's iconic Rainbow sandal of 1938, hence the name 42 Degrees – the angle of sunray to form the magical optical phenomenon.

Crafted solely from sustainable materials and components from Italy, the capsule collections highlights the leathers developed exclusively for Salvatore Ferragamo with wet white chrome and metal free tanning, which can be seen on the bags and shoes from the 42 Degrees collection.

Truly practising the idea of 'sustainability', the 42 Degrees collection doesn't only utilises sustainable materials, but also a simple manufacturing process, ensuring a transparent and traceable supply chain.
