Shanghai Tang unveiled its new boutique in Kuala Lumpur
The high-end fashion brand is extending its presence within Lalaport Bukit Bintang City Centre.
Shanghai Tang, a prestigious fashion brand originating from Hong Kong, is celebrated for its fusion of traditional Chinese aesthetics and it is making its return to Kuala Lumpur with a new boutique in Lalaport.
Known for its vibrant colours and intricate embroidery, the brand is founded upon its refined craftsmanship, seamlessly uniting heritage and modern elegance.
The brand has recently unveiled its new boutique in the vibrant heart of Kuala Lumpur, situated within Lalaport Bukit Bintang City Centre. Encompassing 1,256 square feet, the boutique's spatial design draws inspiration from the charming lanes of Shanghai.
As visitors enter the store, they will be welcomed by an array of soft fabrics, delicate porcelain, and elegant lacquerware that beautifully showcase the depth of Eastern culture. The silver walls emanate the sheen of silk, while the lacquerware palette draws inspiration from traditional Chinese auspicious colors. Through this architectural design, Shanghai Tang skillfully captures the harmonious blending of Eastern and Western elements that encapsulate the eclectic spirit of the Shanghai scene.
The boutique also showcases the brand's newest Autumn/Winter 2023 collection, with “Dance Ceremony” for women and “Reunion” for men. The women's collection seamlessly blends Chinese hand-drawn floral prints with Western fabrics, drawing inspiration from Yang Liping's Moonlight Dance in Lijiang, China.
On the other hand, the men's collection draws from the brand's legacy, exploring the history of contemporary Chinese fashion through iconic Chinese silhouettes.
