A peek inside our November '18 issue feat. Malaika Firth
This November, L’Officiel Malaysia leaves no stones unturned to deliver everything and anything that has been creating a huge buzz on the trendiest of streets and who better to star on the cover than Malaika Firth?
The first black model to appear on a Prada campaign in nearly 20 years, alongside supermodels like Christy Turlington and Catherine McNeil, Malaika (who is a Kenyan-born British model) took the world by storm since her debut in 2013.
Dressed in Stella McCartney on the cover, our photographer Onin Lorente took Malaika to off-the-beaten tracks in the hidden streets of London to capture our cover story.
On her career, Malaika says in our cover story An Autumn Afternoon, "Working with Burberry was amazing, and also doing the Prada campaign I think really paved the way! I’m so grateful and thankful to the designers and the team that I have worked with."
Onwards to our November stories, streetwear codes and signifiers, for instance, are taken to new fashion heights as seen in Hit List, while Word On The Street shines the light on local jewellery brands that are filling the gaps left by the industry’s power players.
Be sure to check out our curated list of cult beauty brands from six different cities across the globe that have acquired a special spot in the bags and cabinets of locals and those abroad in The Atlas Of Beauty.
Also, get acquainted with the four artists whose stories are changing the world and taking over the streets, one postcode at a time in Rebels With A Cause.
