Gwen Lu fronts our August 2018 "Overachiever" issue
Despite the stigma surrounding the word “overachiever” (read: competitive, try-hard), for the month of August, we have decided to celebrate the multitasking capabilities and awe-inspiring accomplishments of the overachieving personality with the Overachiever issue.
And for this exciting issue, we have one of our favourite Malaysian models, Gwen Lu (an overachiever in her own right), to front the cover in a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello look.
A local, yet internationally recognised and loved, face, Gwen trailblazes her way across the globe with her beauty, brains and brawn (did you know that she is a quantity surveyor before she started modelling?).
Alongside with Gwen, this issue also looks to many other overachievers – both in the local and international scene.
One of the features to look out for is our Wonder Women story, where we discover the emergence of female icons rocking multihyphenated titles and making new conquests in the beauty universe.
And in our Women Walk Ahead feature, we also explore the evolution of our very own local women moguls forging an upward trajectory with the likes of Neelofa (@neelofa), Nina Ismail Sabri (@ninaismailsabri) and Tengku Chanela (@tcjamidah).
Also, we have a special shout-out to our beloved watchmakers as we find out the most coveted timepieces straight from this year’s Baselworld and Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in an exclusive watch compilation.
