A sneak peek of our Nov '17 issue

This month, we shot two New York natives in their homeground, all decked in Fendi for our Artisanal issue.

Taking a step back from the technology-ridden world is what L'Officiel Malaysia November ’17 issue is all about, which pays tribute to all things traditional and natural.

Managing editor Monica Mong says, "Producing a print magazine in the digital age is a bumpy journey. It is like how people choose fast fashion items, while a handful of artisans continue working on their masterpieces in hidden ateliers."

And for this "Artisanal" issue's cover, we feature not one but two emerging models on the cover – Céline Delaugère (@celinedeldel) and Hannah Bennett (@hannahbennett7).

Both dressed in sleek fur and coats from the Fendi Fall/Winter 2017 collection, the two borrows menswear codes and stun perfectly in tough tailoring – a key trend of the season.

From handcrafted products to all-natural goods, get to know the brands that are keeping it old-schooled and practicing time-honoured methods while preserving the environment.

"Consequently, L'Officiel Malaysia would become much like a crafted book crafted for inspirational purposes..."

Whether you are interested in investing in a personalised Bottega Veneta bag in A Little More Personal, admiring hand-engraved timepieces in State Of The Art, introducing artisanal beauty products into your skincare routine in The Bare Neccessities or exploring locally made accessories in #madeinmalaysia, skilled craftsmanship has never been more prominent.

On the final note, Monica says, "Looking back 10 years ago when I first started in this industry, the approach to journalism was different. Today, we are required to spend much more time and effort in putting together every single
page."
