Interview: Joey Yung on her debut Emperor Watch and Jewellery collaboration
The prestigious Hong Kong jeweller Emperor Watch and Jewellery has finally dropped its pin in Malaysia and for its grand opening at Pavilion KL, legendary Hong Kong artist Joey Yung (容祖兒, @yungchoyee) flew in to join in the celebration.
The ambassador Emperor Watch and Jewellery, Joey was the VIP for the event and we managed to catch a quick interview with the HK star herself, where she shares her jewellery styling tips and her debut jewellery collection.

You mentioned that you'd love to design a jewellery collection someday and now you have a collaboration with Emperor Jewellery. What's the inspiration behind it?
I actually just did the campaign shoot for my design collaboration with Emperor Jewellery. The collection is called 'Heartbeat', implying the aspirations that lead me to my dream. The collection comes with a range of necklace, earrings, bracelets and rings in white gold and diamond.

If you have to choose a song to honour the Emperor Jewellery, what would it be?
It would be 'Excellent' (優秀). Emperor Jewellery has always been there with me ever since I started my career and we have been growing together. I find a resemblance of myself in Emperor Jewellery when it comes to the pursuit for perfection, which you can see through their delicate design and exquisite craftsmanship.

Do you have any particular jewellery design you always love?
It depends on my look for the occasion. I wouldn't mind going a little bit flamboyant with my jewellery if I am wearing a simple/minimal outfit; and if I am wearing a strong, extravagant look, some delicate diamond piece will do the trick.
I do enjoy wearing both the extravagant and delicate designs, but when it comes to my personal collection, I love simple and timeless jewellery more because I find eternity in them.
