Although Bell & Ross is known for its strong connection to aeronautics, it has also made significant forays into the world of motorcycles over the past decade. The journey first began in 2011 when Bell & Ross partnered with Shaw Harley-Davidson to craft the unique Nascafe Racer Bell & Ross. Among its remarkable features, the motorcycle incorporated a special BR 01 Carbon watch integrated into the central console, resembling an on-board tool. Three years later, Bell & Ross paid homage to the golden age of speed records on two wheels with the captivating B-Rocket. Inspired by early jet planes, this concept motorcycle was a collaborative effort once more with the engineers from Shaw Harley-Davidson. The bike served as a direct inspiration for Bruno Belamich, the Creative Director of Bell & Ross, to design two instrument watches: the BR 01 chronograph and its smaller counterpart, the BR 03 B-Rocket.

Now, 2023 once again sees Bell & Ross working with motorcycles. This time, the brand introduces the BR 03-94 BLACKTRACK. Central to this project is the concept of the Blacktrack BT-06 motorcycle which has a fairing that draws inspiration from the facets seen on stealth planes. Also inspired by the avant-garde lines of stealth aircraft, the new BR 03-94 BLACKTRACK chronograph watch is the perfect complement to the motorcycle, a collaborative creation of designer Sacha Lakic and the talented designers of Bell & Ross.

The new BR 03-94 BLACKTRACK is a chronograph that features a case made of matte black ceramic with a water-resistance rating of 100 metres. The connection between the watch and the Blacktrack BT-06 motorcycle is evident. The motorcycle's faceted angles are a direct reference to the technical design of stealth aircraft. Of course, bikers will also appreciate the motor-inspired black calfskin strap, which is accented with a red edge and lined with high-resistance technical material for added durability and comfort.  The quilted pattern on the strap pays homage to the recognisable design elements found on motorbike saddle covers and rider's suits, adding a touch of authenticity and style to the watch. In essence, the watch not only reflects the world of aeronautics but also celebrates the art of motorcycle design in a remarkable and visually appealing manner.

While Bell & Ross is renowned for translating the functionality of airplane cockpit instruments to watches, the BLACKTRACK chronograph's counters instead adopt the design elements typically seen on motorcycle handlebar dials. With a tasteful blend of contrasting grey and black elements, all the information on the dial is not only present but highly legible. The dial predominantly features dark tones, and it incorporates an openwork cooling grid for added aesthetic appeal. To enhance visibility, both the indices and the skeletonised hands are treated with Super-LumiNova®, ensuring easy reading in low-light conditions. One distinctive feature of the dial is the use of a red tone for the 30-minute chronograph totaliser, much like a gauge on a motorcycle. An intriguing detail on the dial is the superimposition of the off-center chronograph second hand over the minute hand, forming the distinct "B" for Blacktrack. This faceted design is mirrored on the octagonal bezel when viewed from above.

To reinforce the strong bond between Bell & Ross and motorcycles, the BR 03-94 BLACKTRACK chronograph can be inserted into the centre of the motorcycle console, seamlessly transitioning from being worn on the wrist to becoming an integral part of the dashboard.
