Lily-Rose Depp is the muse of Chanel’s Première Édition Originale watch
Truly timeless.
First introduced by Chanel in 1987, the Première watch’s legacy encompasses a variety of iterations, ranging from ceramic and white gold to pearls and diamonds, and it’s now back to its very inception.
As the couture house’s inaugural venture into watchmaking, Première transcends its functional role and becomes an objet d'art. It blurs the line between timepiece and jewellery with an octagonal case that mirrors the stopper of the N°5 fragrance bottle and an interlaced chain borrowed from the Chanel classic handbags. However, what truly captures Chanel’s spirit of freedom and audacity is the black-lacquer dial with no numerals or hour markers.
In the latest Première Édition Originale watch campaign, Lily-Rose Depp’s embodiment of modern elegance perfectly complements the watch’s return. Directed by Inez & Vinoodh, the campaign captures Lily-Rose Depp in Gabrielle Chanel’s mythical apartment at 31 rue Cambon in Paris, and against the backdrop of storied sanctuary, the Première Édition Originale watch evokes both the house’s heritage and modern sensibility.
