Longines unveils a new chapter of the Mini DolceVita collection with Kate Winslet
Timeless turn.
Longines, the renowned Swiss watchmaker steeped in heritage and established in 1832, debuted the Mini DolceVita line in 2023. This exquisite line with its emblematic rectangular case fuses tradition and modernity with perfection. The Mini DolceVita, inspired by a legendary 1927 Longines piece and an extension of the beloved DolceVita family, is the essence of sophistication with its delightfully compact form while staying true to Longines’ core values of quiet luxury and classic design.
This year, the Mini DolceVita collection turns a fresh page and welcomes a vibrant update in the form of luxurious double tour straps crafted in Nappa leather, available in an array of sizes and colours: black, beige gold, pink, red, orange and green. A modern interpretation of equestrian elegance, the strap is a nod to the Swiss watchmaking brand’s rich sporting heritage, referenced subtly by the holes in the straps numbered in hotpress printing from 1 to 6, echoing the numbering on stirrup leathers. The newly designed strap exclusive to Longines gently wraps around the wrist with comfort and softness, and is paired with the new Mini DolceVita iteration, offered with or without diamonds.
The six aesthetic variations of the refreshed Mini DolceVita further expand on its diverse appeal. Featuring a stainless steel rectangular case measuring 21.50 mm x 29.00 mm, it is waterresistant to 30 m and equipped with a high-precision L178 quartz movement. Three models boast a rectangular silvered dial with a flinqué decoration where delicate geometric motifs display a guilloche-work sensibility. To complete the dial are painted Roman numerals and blued steel hands, alongside a square small seconds subdial at six o’clock that adds a touch of functionality. These beauties come paired with double tour straps in black, beige gold with ivory topstitching, or pink, with two of these options adorned with sparkling diamonds for extra glamour.
For those seeking a contemporary edge, the Mini DolceVita’s three other variants feature a circular silvered sand-blasted Cosmo dial. The interplay of textures and shapes creates a unique appearance of a matte white hours indicator serving to separate the external square part from the interior circle. Other contrasting dial details include a round matte white small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, painted Roman numerals and elongated indexes for hours, together with blued steel hands. The choice of red, orange or green Nappa leather straps expresses the embodiment of contemporary elegance by the new Mini DolceVita capsule.
To celebrate this exciting evolution, Longines launched a cinematic campaign, starring Kate Winslet and masterfully lensed by photographer Greg Williams. Capturing the Ambassador of Elegance naturally and authentically against a picturesque coastal backdrop, the evocative visuals portraying her unique vision of time, “Time... to just, be,” are in sync with the spirit of the new Mini DolceVita models. It becomes clear that elegance is found in the smallest detail of the resolutely contemporary jewellery watch, empowering women to embrace the present moment in style.
