Are you ready for Louis Vuitton's new golden AirPods earrings?
When Apple first released their now highly coveted AirPods in 2016, they were mockingly compared to cotton buds (admit it, you thought so too).
But the tide has changed, and like most Apple inventions, the AirPods started a new trend: wearable technology. Celebrities like Kristen Stewart and David Beckham were consistently spotted wearing the headphones like they were jewellery, and it wasn’t long before a flood of glowing reviews rolled in.
Louis Vuitton, the fashion house that also doubles as a trend radar, soon caught on to the cool factor of AirPods and announced that, in collaboration with New York-based audio company Master & Dynamic, they were creating their own high fashion version of Bluetooth earphones, dubbed the Horizon. Available in black, white and red, and stamped with the iconic LV Monogram, the Horizon pays homage to the brand’s heritage, but with a touch of modernity.
And now, the creatives at Louis Vuitton have taken the concept of wearable technology even further with earrings for your AirPods.
Yes, you read that correctly. The brand has just come up with gold "earrings" (as seen above), which, according to sources, will be produced in different lengths and styles. Made of gold with LV logo charms dangling off the chains, these new earrings are reportedly priced at USD$350 (approximately RM1445).
But that's a small price to pay if you’re dedicated to elevating your tech game to another level of chic.
