Red Wonder: Omega Trésor shines bright for the confident woman
When Omega unveiled the Trésor collection for women in 2018, it was clear that the distinctive aesthetic of the timepiece was created specially for an emerging generation.
The “Trésor” name was first used by Omega for a De Ville wristwatch in 1949 and in embracing the new, the Swiss watch brand has reimagined a classic to give it a sleek and elegant makeover. Inspired by Omega’s deeply rooted tradition of exquisite watches for women, the design ethos of the new Trésor is driven unmistakably by a confident and contemporary sensibility.
“Just like the women who inspired the design, each model shines with its own personality,” said Kaia Gerber about the collection. Gerber, the 18-year-old daughter of iconic ’90s supermodel and long-time Omega ambassador Cindy Crawford, is the hottest name in the modelling world today, having followed in her mother’s career path and also in becoming an Omega spokesperson as the face of Trésor.
Among the collection’s selections is a model in red and white — perfect not just for the young like Gerber, but in celebration of women of all eras. The watch’s striking colour combination of a lacquered white dial bears an eye-catching contrast to the transferred Roman numerals in red encircling it, together with the matching red leather strap.
The slim and polished 36 mm case in stainless steel is embellished with 38 single-cut diamonds, set along the elegant curves on each side of the case. In synchronicity, the crown features another single diamond which is surrounded by a red ceramic flower comprising five Omega logos.
However, what lies hidden in the Trésor timepiece is no less precious: the Omega Calibre 4061 movement lying behind the polished mirror case back decorated with a metalised “Her Time” pattern.
A beautifully timeless accessory to remind each woman with a Trésor on her wrist just what a unique creation she is, replete with natural charm, charisma and her many attributes.
