For instance, the Maison’s fabled Paris address at 12 Place Vendôme, once Hôtel Baudard de Sainte-James, was where the composer Chopin is said to have written the masterpiece, Mazurka Op. 68, No 4, in 1849. Only one out of many other tales that connect the Maison with music and dance — from Chopin’s final, unfinished composition in the Maison’s Salon Chopin to the illustrious clientele of dancers like La Belle Otero and Anna Pavlova — Chaumet has always celebrated the arts.

The first act, Selecting The Tempo, celebrates music with three show-stopping parures in an interplay of colour and light.
