Dior Rose Joaillerie unveils new Dior Couture earrings
Victoire de Castellane continues to cultivate the precious garden at Dior with another tribute to the house’s iconic rose.
One has to go back to the storied Les Rhumbs in Granville to truly understand Christian Dior’s fascination for the rose flower.
A safe haven enclosed by divine nature, the villa held a certain significance for the couturier who spent the first five years of his life there.
It was the place he picked up the art of pruning roses from his mother, learned the names of plants and flowers in the garden and cultivated his creative mind.
The love affair between the two has become a prominent point of reference for Artistic Director of Dior Joaillerie Victoire de Castellane and is now revisited with an all-new jewellery line.
Joining the ranks of Bois de Rose, Rose Dior Bagatelle and Rose Dior Pré Catelan, Rose Dior Couture combines the promise of a bud ready to blossom with the silkiness of a fabric flower. It celebrates Monsieur Dior’s cherished motif with a faithful interpretation of the rose.
Among the standout novelties in this nine-piece collection are the Rose Dior Couture earrings. Capturing the image of a rose in full bloom, the pair features finely sculpted pink gold petals that reveal the many facets of the flower when the light hits them from different angles.
A single, glittering diamond thoughtfully tucked at the heart of each corolla further elevates the design that’s dreamed up to reflect a multifaceted femininity.
