5 Reasons why Alila Bangsar should be your new staycation spot

Pack your suitcases! We’re taking you out of the concrete jungle and into the woods for the weekend.

From the intimate Alila Flight Experience, where we were indulged with an aerial view of KL city centre to the hand-delivered artisanal and curated picnic basket, these teasers have successfully madeAlila Bangsar one of our most anticipated events of the year.

So when we caught wind of the news that the hotel was finally opening its doors, we immediately stuffed our trunk and headed its way for a desperately-needed weekend getaway. Long story short, it was truly an escapade to remember.

Perched on top of The Establishment building, Alila Bangsar accommodates 143 guestrooms and top-notch facilities that we’ve had the opportunity of experiencing.

Here are the five things that stood out to us, in case you’re planning your own staycation at the hotel (as you should be)!

1. The Lobby

1 / 4

Everyone loves a foyer and Alila Bangsar’s is surely going to take your breath away (quite literally too, as it’s located on the 41st floor of the building).

The elements of nature in here are propped against the industrial vibes. Just look at that sunlit cluster of trees cleverly framed with concrete flooring!

2. The Studio

1 / 3

The Studio room exceeded all of our expectations. The plush bedding, spacious restroom (which include white-ceramic-tiled lavatory, shower and dressing rooms) and cosy living space are further accentuated with the abundance of natural light protruding from the floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

3. The Alila Living Room

If there's one thing that sets Alila Bangsar apart from its rivals, it’s the dedicated butler station that’s placed on every guestroom floor.

Here, we’re spoiled with an assortment of delectable snacks and pastries – an option that would be appreciated on a day where you don’t really feel like going out.

4. The Restaurant

Another high point of the hotel is the semi-fine dining French restaurant Entier. We had the cured Scottish salmon with konbu cream and it was life-changing.

And come morning, the generous international breakfast set we ordered tasted even sweeter with the sweeping view of the city.

5. The Pool

1 / 2

We’re not much of a swimmer but even that wasn’t a good enough reason not to take a dip into this stunning outdoor swimming pool. Not only that, the tropical-style landscaping and the luxurious loungers also helped transformed the space into a charming oasis.
