With the revival of Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown now in high gear, Four Points by Sheraton joins the movement with a new property in the heritage district.

Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, located in Chinatown,&nbsp;put on quite a show when it officially opened its doors late last&nbsp;year.

Inspired by the Chinese migration from the Klang River to the&nbsp;rural country to engage in mining activities by&nbsp;way of water&nbsp;transportation, the story of olden-day Chinatown is ingrained&nbsp;in the very fabric of the design of the hotel. The exposed burnt&nbsp;brick walls; decorative floor-to-ceiling metal latticework; warm&nbsp;wood; and old-fashioned jade tiles are some of the symbolic&nbsp;choices that stand out.

Within the 318 spacious guestrooms&mdash;including 18 suites and&nbsp;76 inter-connecting rooms&mdash;Malaysian creative brand Loka&nbsp;Made illustrates the rich narrative through its customised wall&nbsp;art. Here, tales revolving around the livelihood, craft and trade&nbsp;of the vicinity&rsquo;s community are depicted through bright colours&nbsp;and caricature that is reminiscent of vintage comic book.

The local flavour is also reimagined at the hotel&rsquo;s two dining&nbsp;venues. While Lady Yi&rsquo;s Tea House offers the taste of the Straits&nbsp;with a charming Peranakan Afternoon Tea and cocktails, all-day&nbsp;dining Quan&rsquo;s Kitchen entices with Chinatown&rsquo;s culinary&nbsp;specialties as well as Western favourites.&nbsp;
