"Queen of Tears" filming location: Mungyeong Rail Bike
Mungyeong Rail Bike in Gyeongsangbuk-do is a unique and nostalgic destination. The railway here was used to transport coal and serve local residents 20 years ago. After the coal mine closed, the route was transformed into a playground, with rail bikes and mini trains, becoming Korea's first rail bike route.
In the drama, Baek Hyun-woo and Hong Hae-in had an emotional last date on the Mungyeong rail bike. This romantic scene evokes memories of the couple's early love. You can also visit the Gardenia Cafe nearby - where the mother-in-law character stopped by to buy coffee.
Mungyeong Ecological World is also worth considering. This is where Hong Hae-in and his younger brother Hong Soo-cheol spent their happy childhood days together. It feels like you have stepped back in time and walked through ancient palaces and fortresses built in the last century but still retaining the red brick and clay color. The area used to be a coal mining area, and today visitors can explore the Eunseong Coal Mine and the Taebaek Coal Museum.
