Shiseido celebrates 150 years with “From Life Comes Beauty” campaign

With the “From Life Comes Beauty” campaign, Shiseido sets the tone and scene for its grand 150th-anniversary celebrations.
The campaign showcases how Shiseido has been in pursuit of the essence of beauty for a century and a half, spearheaded by a vision and mission of creating products that enhance life with a healthy vibrance.

The beloved Japanese beauty brand is also reinforcing the milestone with the global launch of three limited-edition products, powered by and crystallising its unique and original Life Science*1 research.
These three products: Shiseido Eudermine Revitalizing Essence 150th Limited Edition, Shiseido Ultimune™ Power Infusing Concentrate III 150th Limited Edition and Shiseido Ultimune™ Future Power Shot 150th Limited Edition, maximise the power of beauty generated by life and incorporate cutting-edge technologies.
They individually symbolise “Heritage,” “Living Innovation,” and “Future” respectively, thereby encapsulating the brand’s past, present, and future.
An arabesque motif used on wrapping paper created in the Taisho era (1912–1926) by Sue Yabe, a member of the design department at that time, is revived and reconfigurated into a three-dimensional form, then photographed and featured on the packaging design of the product trio.
To unify all the elements is the campaign emblem, the “Alive Ring”, where the colour red and circular shape represent both the Life Science research and the “beauty circulation” uncovered by that research; while the arabesque pattern echoes Shiseido’s time-honoured motif that expresses its legacy and spirit focusing on life and beauty in product development.
