Dark romance rules the creative possibilities of the French maison's new lipstick capsule for the season.
From spring/summer’s reimagining of canyons, mirages and oases to the pure and feeling colours of the night, Hermès Beauty makes a comeback to fall with a new lip wear collection.
This time around, nocturnal illumination elicits fire and shadow for a heightened effect—expressed in three shades of matte or opaque finish to emanate intense and velvety nightfall.
First, Rose Tamisé, an atmospheric pink that echoes the elusive and diaphanous evening mist or dusky rosy tones of water’s reflections; followed by Orange Brûlé, a smouldering, charismatic orange radiated by a harvest moon in the tawny depths of night.
Rose Magenta completes the riveting trio with a powerful, piercing pink that envelops shadow in a joyful embrace.
Housing these chromatic expressions transcends what we know as a lipstick case, but an Hermès object designed by Pierre Hardy, creator of Hermès Beauty objects and creative director for Hermès shoes and jewellery.
The three objects are embellished by a palette of sharply contrasting hues: the depth of black, anthracite grey and bark brown juxtaposed with the vibrancy of electric blue, fairy-tale red, and phosphorescent green.
Best of all, the casing boasts a refillable feature that perpetuates and reinforces the notion of sustainable beauty and luxury—beyond all its beautiful evocations of the after dark.
