Matthieu Blazy's first Bottega Veneta collection is here
Inspired by the futurist works of Umberto Boccioni, the new Creative Director's collection is a stunning, refreshing start to a new era of the brand.
After the partnership for BUTT Magazine and the launch of the app that reveals the creative universe of Bottega Veneta , it is the turn of the first fashion show presented by the new creative director. The Fall Winter 2022 men's and women 's collection under the creative direction of Matthieu Blazy was the most anticipated event of Milan Fashion Week. For the debut the inspiration comes from the futurist artistic current: "Bottega Veneta is essentially pragmatic because it is a leather goods company. Since it specializes in bags, it's about movement, about going somewhere; there is basically an idea of craftsmanship in movement. It is more style than fashion in its timelessness. This is part of its silent power. " Explained the new creative director of Bottega Veneta “With the team we were able to achieve our goals, return to Italy and carry the movement on clothes. It all started with Boccioni's work and Futurism which allowed us to develop the concept of movement. Tailoring, on the other hand, is a key element in Italy where tailoring is streetwear because people take it to the streets ".

Matthieu Blazy's first collection at Bottega Veneta is a meeting between glamorous extravagance and utilitarian aesthetics. At the center is the sensuality of materials and leather, a real doctrine for the brand of the kering group. Wide skirts with dynamic fringed petticoats, dresses with a bold soul, cocooning college jackets, sequined dresses and leather coats. And finally the woven and scooby bags, the Kalimero shoulder bag and the Pillow bag. Among the special guests of the evening the Euphoria star Jacob Elordi, Raf Simons , Neneh Cherry, Julianne Moore and Peter Mullier.
