Cartier’s latest scarves collection tells the story of panther
The big cat continues to inspire Cartier.
First launched I 1979, the Cartier silk squares are now reimagined into a selection of scarf, wrap and headband. Across a series of paintings inspired by the Maison’s significant creative territories, the panther takes centre stage.
From engraving to printing, these silk accessories are created using a layer-by-layer approach to bring out the intricate colours and details. The delicate and demanding process took place at the prestigious manufacturers in the Italian Lake District and also in Lyon.
The collection highlights three landscapes—Place Vendôme, Japanese cherry blossoms and a jungle full of life—as a nod to Cartier’s cultural and artistic influence.
