Karl Lagerfeld to receive special memorial in Paris
The fashion world was thrown into chaos and grief earlier this year when we lost one of the legendary designers Karl Lagerfeld in February 2019.
He, who had served as creative director for two major fashion houses, Chanel and Fendi, as well as leading his own namesake label, was an unrivalled legend and now, the fashion world will come together again as the three fashion houses unite to hold a special memorial for Karl.
Named "Karl For Ever", the memorial will take place at Men's Fashion Week in Paris this 20th June 2019 at the Grand Palais to honour the legendary designer through video montages on three large screens in the main hall of the Grand Palais.
Interviews with his collaborators in fashion, art and culture will also be shown, which were filmed in front of Lagerfeld's impressive library of more than 300,000 books.
Karl For Ever will be the designer's only public memorial, which is a by-invite-only event that will be attended by over 2,500 guests.
