Let Kenzo's new campaign fulfill your rainbow desires!
Kenzo is forging a new path between artistic photography and high fashion in collaboration with highly-renowned photographer David LaChapelle for the launch of its new Fall 2019 fashion campaign.
After a successful Spring 2019 campaign, this dynamic duo joins forces once again to shift the fashion houses’ lens into a dramatic new focus. The new range is unlike any of its kind, presenting itself as a series of postcards that provoke your imagination and highlight the beauty of the French fashion house’s designs.
The series elevates traditional Instagram-worthy pictures with luxury pieces and striking models to illustrate the life of fearless exploration and adventurous style that Kenzo offers.
There’s much more to these photos than what you see at first glance. LaChapelle eloquently weaves the brand’s cross-cultural influences into his personal style using a “collage art” technique to layer each photo with a dichotomous message.
Superimposing his original fashion photography with images from his personal archive of vintage travel slides, LaChapelle effectively captures the brand’s international stimulus and decades of prestige. Each one-of-a-kind picture displays modern-day models wearing upcoming designs in classic, worldly scenery to emphasize the cosmopolitan nature of the brand.
The inclusion of these exceptional photos from LaChapelle’s years of exploratory excursions speaks to a modern community of world-travellers and risk-takers while also conveying the generations of Kenzo’s global sentiments.
The Fall 2019 campaign was shot in Paris and features a stunning and diverse range of talent including Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer, and models Lindsey Wixon, Kiko Arai, Geron Nord and Jabali Sandiford. If you can't book a plane ticket at the drop of a hat, linger over each breathtaking photo when making your great escape from real life.
