Deftly blending Chinese culture, exquisite craftsmanship and contemporary design, the CTF Rouge Collection expresses passionate red and the auspicious Chinese symbol for good fortune with clean lines and graphic forms.

Red is commonly acknowledged as the hue of passion and strength in Chinese culture, while “福” is the Chinese character that represents blessings, fortune and good luck. The striking colour and symbolic character unite harmoniously in Chow Tai Fook Jewellery’s new CTF Rouge Collection, which was recently launched to celebrate the leading Chinese jeweller’s 95th anniversary.

Truly a range emanating modern appeal with its streamlined silhouette, yet imbued with symbolism and meaning, the pieces are also a nod to the architectural qualities of Chinese windowsills, embodying protection and the love passed from one generation to the next. The collection’s name, “Rouge” too holds significance — it doesn’t just honour the brand’s iconic colour, it is a tribute to Chow Tai Fook’s former Honorary Chairman, Dr. Cheng Yu Tung (the word “Tung” signifies the colour red in Chinese).

Championing Chinese culture with contemporary, stylised creations for the global consumer is nothing new for Chow Tai Fook, which has perpetuated this ethos since 1929. As the House turns 95, the signature Rouge Collection’s debut is just part of the brand’s reimagination of its identity. One of the jeweller’s key talents responsible for this collection is Nicholas Lieou, Creative Director of High Jewellery, who is also now tasked with elevating the brand’s overall image — this encompasses the introduction of fresh product collections that fuse Chow Tai Fook’s heritage with modern elegance.
