Earlier this week in Vienna, a destination dear to Louis Cartier, Cartier unveiled its latest high jewellery collection, Nature Sauvage. The majestic collection draws its inspiration from wildlife, featuring not only the house&rsquo;s signature feline but also the mythical dragon and other precious creatures.

&ldquo;A new perspective on the Cartier animals to surprise, amaze and bring modernity by way of unexpected encounters. Expressive jewellery which showcases the attitudesand personality of an animal, its vitality. Like an actor, it plays with graphics, with volume and optical illusions, blending into an imaginary landscape. This is the spirit of Nature Sauvage.&rdquo;

With opulent volume, precise settings, and incredible savoir-faire, Cartier captures the animals&rsquo; free spirit and playfulness in wearable art. A flamingo strikes a pose in a bush of emerald reeds; a koaga camouflages itself against a striking play of onyx stripes and diamonds. Elsewhere, a panther treads softly across a frosty landscape of kite diamonds.

 While the entire Nature Sauvage collection is defined by the animals&rsquo; untamed spirit to break free from their usual habitat, some pieces emulate grace and fluidity, and others evoke boldness with their&nbsp;architectural and geometrical structure.&nbsp;Take, for instance, the Amphista and Scutellia, where the commanding movement of reptiles is&nbsp;masterfully&nbsp;captured.<o:p></o:p>
