Why the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is style, fun, and function in one

Samsung has just delivered its fourth generation foldbales at its mid-year Unpacked event, and you probably have already heard about the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s latest signature colourway Bora Purple, its upgraded Flex Cam and the barely visible crease.

QUICK SHOT AND FLEXCAM
When given the choice between Fold 4 and Flip 4, we went for the later for its y2k nostalgic aesthetic pocket-sized clamshell design. While we might come for the aesthetic, we are staying for the versatile photography and videography experience that ensures on-the-go storytellers to make the most out of the camera.
You will find a 10MP Front Camera and 12MP Ultra-Wide and 12MP Wide-angle Cameras on the rear. Without opening the device, user can snap a selfie or record a video with Quick Shot by double pressing the power key. You can think of the Cover Display as a viewfinder, where you can choose the desired dimension and switch between Photo, Video and Portrait modes.
Vlogging will never be the same with FlexCam. Quite literally the biggest flex of Flip 4, FlexCam will instantly transform your device into a hands free camera and even a camcorder to capture moments from diverse angles.
This feature is also integrated into your favourite content creating and sharing apps including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook - it really lives up to its name of “the ultimate self-expression tool”.
UNIQUELY YOURS
And speaking of self-expression, the joy doesn’t stop here. We had a blast personalising our Flip 4 with endless options and combinations that cater to each individual and their own needs. To spice things up, several file formats are now supported for cover display’s background, including still photos, animated GIFs and video.
And users are able to choose various clock designs and compositions to complete the styling.
We also discovered that you can customise your main screen's palette based on your wallpaper. The chosen colour palette will be applied to menus, buttons, toggle switches and app throughout your phone to exude a perfect colour harmony. It's not a new feature for Galaxy devices, but is definitely one worth giving a shoutout again!
ENHANCED COVER SCREEN USABILITY
Flip 4 comes with a hardworking cover screen. Not only does it allow more customisations now, but it also offers more usabilities - notifications, Quick settings, Samsung Wallet and other widgets are just swipes away with your device folded.
We love how we can find all of our notifications by just swipping right on the cover screen and respond instantly with the preset messages or do it with the convenience of voice control. If you’re a music addict, you will be just as excited as us to pin the Spotify widget onto the Cover Screen to elevate your daily music experience.
TOUGHRER THAN EVER
Even though there’s no major facelift for the device this time around, Galaxy stan will easily notice Flip 4’s squarer silhouette and slimmer hinge. It's Samsung's toughest foldable to date thanks to the Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus®+ on both the front and back.
The hinge is shielded by Armour Aluminium and inside, the 6.7-inch display employs Samsung Ultra Thin Glass that promises to withstand up to 200,000 folds. So, rest assured that your device are protected from the worrying wear-and-tear from previuos generations.
