I tried Premier Clinic's three-in-one RejuvePro and here's why I love it
Three is better than one.
I know I’m not alone when I say I live with more than one skin concern. Elasticity loss, enlarged pores, uneven texture and tone — they come in a bundle with age, each potentially triggering the other. Despite getting regular facials and having a reliable multitasking skincare routine I count my blessings for, I can’t help wondering if there’s a solution out there that requires less patience and waiting time. Don’t get me wrong, consistency is always the key but exploring new treatments is only natural (and fun!).
I got in touch with Premier Clinic, one of the most trusted names in KL, to learn about the latest advancements for achieving the most promising results. During our chat, they introduced me to an exciting treatment that addresses not one but a set of my worries: post-blemish marks and early signs of ageing. The next thing I knew, I was sitting in their Bangsar branch, having my skin assessed for the RejuvePro.
What is RejuvePro
RejuvePro is a curated trio of universal rejuvenating actions powered by Premier Clinic’s mainstay and new technologies: Potenza, PicoSure and Aerolase. While Potenza uses radiofrequency (RF) microneedling to penetrate deep into the skin to stimulate collagen production, PicoSure targets pores and pigmentation like freckles, sun spots and acne scars with ultra-short pulses of laser energy.
“PicoSure is what we call the pigment eraser,” explained Dr Diana Lim. “It breaks down pigmentation and encourages skin renewal.” She added that by combining Potenza with Picosure, we’re able to target both deeper and superficial layers of the skin in just one go. “Essentially, they firm, lift and repair for a healthier barrier so the skin becomes less reactive to stressors with improved redness and skin tone.”
Aerolase, the new gold-standard laser for treating a myriad of skin concerns such as acne, spots, tone, texture and fine lines, calms everything down at the end of this treatment to aid in recovery. “Plus it eliminates active acne and facial hair for a refreshed glow,” said Dr Lim.
Why is it special
With weeks of downtime and waiting after each session, dealing with multiple skin concerns used to feel like having an endless list of goals. “But things have changed thanks to multimodality treatment like RejuvePro,” said Dr Lim. Whether you’re seeking solutions for particular skin concerns or simply want to give your skin a rejuvenating treat, RejuvePro is an excellent pick for its speed and efficiency.
What to expect during RejuvePro
RejuvePro is colour-blind and safe for year-round use. Once Dr Lim made sure there was no recent sunburn, flare-up or injury on my skin, we got started right away with cleansing and topical numbing.
“RejuvePro is curated according to the level of discomfort, from the most intense to the least invasive,” Dr Lim told me as we began the treatment with Potenza. The first pass went all over my face for overall tightening and lifting, followed by precise stamping on my troubled areas to promote regeneration from within and smooth out irregularities. I did feel a prickly sensation with the punctures, but it was far from painful. A cooling device accompanied the handpiece throughout the entire treatment to provide continuous relief and prevent thermal trauma.
Moving on, another two passes of PicoSure were done before we wrapped it with Aerolase — the first for toning, and the second for refining pores and boosting collagen production. Like Dr Lim said, Aerolase felt almost serene. But honestly, I didn’t find any part of the RejuvePro intolerable. When the treatment was done, Dr Lim treated my pinkish skin with a recovery mask and LED photography to soothe the skin, and by the time I left the treatment room, I no longer felt any warmth on my skin. The entire process took around one hour.
RejuvePro Aftercare
There’s technically no downtime for RejuvePro but the post-treatment skin may have experienced dryness from all the heat. Dr Lim advised me to keep my routine minimal for the following week with just cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen. “Try using a gentle hydrating sheet mask every day, your skin will be very receptive to hydration during this period so make sure to replenish its lost moisture,” she reminded. It’s totally safe to double cleanse, but give it a couple of weeks before returning to regular facials.
The Takeaway
What feels different about RejuvePro is how quick and breezy the whole process was. It’s only been a week since my treatment, meaning my skin is currently diligently producing collagen to firm, tone, smooth and renew itself. I’ve been following Dr Lim’s instruction to slather on moisturiser, and I’m happy to report that there’s no sign of irritation or flaking dryness. Besides the glow, another immediate effect I noticed was the subsided acne, and how it’s healing and fading better than it usually does!
