First launched in 2022 as part of the 10th anniversary activations for Marini’s on 57 and The Marini’s Group, the Viva Marini Bartending Competition has become an annual celebration. Now, as it returns for its 2024 edition, the cocktail challenge’s call for entries is opening this October!
Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a home mixologist, all levels are invited to impress with their most creative concoctions. To participate, all you need to do is send in an original cocktail recipe based on this year’s themes along with a fun, engaging preparation video on Instagram before the deadline.
The selected finalist will have the opportunity to present two creations – the original submission and another themed cocktail using certain spirits – at a live showdown in November, which offers a stage for talents behind the bar to showcase their know-how and excellence. A panel of judges will also be there to taste and vote for the winner. For the past two years, the top bartender has won the cash prize of RM10,000 while the second and third place winners each received RM5,000 and RM3,000 respectively.
